  • Annual observations recorded from active community land users through data questionnaires

 

  • Survey results reflect recorded observations of animals, plants, land, weather and community.

  • Conducting surveys in Arctic Communities since 1996

 

  • Data collected and stored in a database for community and scientific research

  • Scientific indicators developed to complement ABEKS data

  • Local monitors conducting surveys in 8 Arctic communities

 

  • ABEKS Directors, participants and partners are from Gwich'in and Inuvialuit organizations and governments. We are  scientists, community residents and decision makers.
